Jefferson Run for Representation

What is this about?

Herve’ Leconte, a 57 years old man from El Dorado County and his wife, Julie, are true patriots. Most find Herve’, who is a native of France, has more knowledge about the Constitution than most Americans; and, as Mike Thomas, said, “probably more than most of our legislators.” Herve’ and his family lived in a Communist governed section of Paris. Now living in America, he and his wife have a great appreciation for liberty and the freedoms that Americans enjoy. This couple enjoys spending hours every week volunteering and assisting local Veterans, including the Military Family Support Group.

Last year, Herve’ called Mike Thomas of the El Dorado County Committee and offered to run 460 miles, through 13 Jefferson counties. He wanted to make this run to bring more attention to the State of Jefferson.

When will this take place?

This year, Herve’ has chosen Saturday, July 29th as the start date of his 11 day journey for the “Run for Representation.” He will begin at 8 am, in Sonora, Tuolumne County. Between July 29th through August 9th, Herve’ and Julie will travel through Tuolmne, Calaveras, Amador, El Dorado, Placer, Yuba, Sutter, Colusa, Glenn, Tehama, Shasta, Trinity, ending in Siskiyou. He will be stopping at designated staging areas, in most of the counties, along with stops at the end of each day.

What can we do?

It is hoped that there will be large crowds to greet Herve’ and Julie for these one hour stops, as well, people lining along the streets and roadways as he runs from county to county. Individuals may run along with him in shorter stretches, but they do so at their own liberty, and should wear bright yellow or orange colored clothing (or vests) and bring plenty of water. This is a public relations run, by an individual who supports Jefferson and Liberty; though, for legal reasons, he requests that no Jefferson gear be worn.

Donations will be collected for the State of Jefferson Formation legal fund. Business owners and individuals will be able to donate a certain dollar amount or they can pledge a dollar amount per mile run. For example, $5 per mile for the entire 460 miles would be great; or $5, say for 100 miles. Individual runners could also secure a list of pledges from family members and friends, or donate a certain dollar amount for the opportunity to run with Herve’.

You can also pledge money for the Run on the website or by mailing a check to State of Jefferson Formation, P.O. Box 751, Palo Cedro, CA 96073. Checks should be made out to State of Jefferson Formation.

Herve’ and Julie have asked for no compensation as they are paying for their own gas and meals for this 11 day run. We are hoping that committees in the host counties could provide lodging, in either a motel or someone’s home for each night’s stay.

Where can we get more information?

Visit the SOJ51.org website, to get a list of county committee contacts. This is being coordinated by El Dorado County and you can contact Terry Gherardi, 530-677-4294 or Mike Thomas, 530-626-1969, for more information. We are hoping other nearby county committees that are not on the Run route, will contact those that are and show up at the staging areas to welcome Herve’ and Julie.

Herve’ will be the guest speaker at the next El Dorado County Committee meeting, on Tuesday, July 11th, where the routing map will be displayed and discussion of Jefferson Committee future events.

For the latest updates, tune into the State of Mine radio show on KCNR1460.com every Sunday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am; and you can join us on the conference calls.

LETTER WRITING CAMPAIGN

Governor of California has violated the United States Constitution Article 1, Section 10, clause 3

Mark Baird wrote a letter addressing Governor Brown’s recent illegal activities. He is sharing this letter with all of us in an effort to initiate a writing campaign. Mark has asked all Jeffersonians to copy off the letters from the www.soj51.org website, put our names to it, and send it in U.S. mail to the address that is at the top of each letter. The letters were sent to the following:

  1. The US Attorney General, Jeff Sessions.
  2. The US Attorney for the Eastern District of California in Sacramento, Philip Talbert. (The Eastern District Federal Court is where the Citizens for Fair Representation (CFR) filed the law suit against CA for lack of Representation and dilution of vote.)
  3. The California Attorney General, Xavier Becerra.

We need thousands of these letters sent to get their attention, so please ask friends and neighbors to do the same.

CAN YOU HEAR US NOW?Assemblyman James Gallagher held a Press conference announcing the Representation Equality Act. Check out the Assemblyman and his speech on representation. In this recorded meeting, he claims this Legislation will give the North State (Jefferson counties) and other regions more representation at the State Capitol.I do believe They (our Legislators) are hearing us now! They fully admit that only four of them represent a large mass of this state, and, that They are overrun by the rest of their counterparts. They admit that representing 1,000,000 people is a bit much and Gallagher admits that will not change with his Representation Equality Act, but…
It is the best idea They can offer. At the 30 minute mark of his speech, Assemblyman Gallagher opens for questions. Listen in on how these representatives feel about the northern portion of this state. If They are indeed the Stewards of our resources, the timber, mining, and agriculture, then They are responsible for the catastrophic forest fires, crumbling roads, and failing dams. This is an admission that They cannot manage our forests and lands. They need to listen to their employers – We The People.A special wink and a nod for Assemblyman Kevin Kiley for giving it a shot 😉 We thank you for your patriotism and we look forward to working with you in the future. This state is too large to govern, we need to start over. We need to return to the Federal model of government.Time has come for 51!
